A.S.A.V. Aquila organizes a number of competitions every year.
Each year, around October or November, Aquila organizes the Science Park Run — a 5-kilometre race held on the UvA Science Park Campus.
This year the Science Park Run will be held on October 1 2025. The start is at 18:30
The start and finish are located right in front of the University Sports Centre, and the route takes you through the Flevopark and along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. This is a fun and accessible race for all ages and levels. Whether you’re an experienced runner or just starting out, the Science Park Run is all about gezelligheid — enjoying the atmosphere together. But it’s also a great opportunity to challenge yourself alongside friends or training buddies! Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a student or not. After the race, there will be a medal ceremony followed by drinks.
