Each year, around April or May, Aquila organizes the Roetersrun — a 5-kilometre race held on the UvA Roeterseilandcampus . The start and finish are located to the right of the DEF building, and the route winds through and behind the Roeterseiland Campus. Participants complete three laps to reach the full 5 kilometres. This is a fun and accessible race for all ages and levels. Whether you’re an experienced runner or just starting out, the Roetersrund is all about gezelligheid — enjoying the atmosphere together. But it’s also a great opportunity to challenge yourself alongside friends or training buddies!
